Janhvi Kapoor made her debut at the International Film Festival of India (IFFI) in Goa last year. She was accompanied by her late mother, Sridevi and her father, Boney Kapoor. The young actress attended the coveted festival yet again this year, albeit different circumstances.
Earlier this year in February 2018, Janhvi lost her mother and a few months later, she made her Bollywood debut with Dhadak. Having experienced two of the biggest moments of her life in such a short span of time must have impacted her, and she spoke about the same at the festival.
Janhvi told PTI:
This year brought me both the worst and the best experience of my life. It’s a little strange… Our family is now united, so that is very big thing for me but whatever happened that too was very heavy. We are still in shock, so we haven’t been able to process it properly.
She further said:
I am really thankful for all the love that we have received and I got a chance to work, which is a big thing for me. I got a chance to make my parents proud, which is most important for me.
