Taimur Ali Khan is paparazzi’s favourite and now, he has started recognising them too. We have come across videos of the Chota Nawab saying “Hi!” to the photographers and also telling them that his name is Tim. While we love to see Taimur’s pictures in and around the city almost every day, it is a matter of concern for his parents Kareena Kapoor Khan and Saif Ali Khan. In an interview with Anupama Chopra for Film Companion, Bebo spoke about the cameras always following Taimur.
Kareena said,
Why can’t he just be? And let him be in his own city and roam around and go to school and do normal things like normal children do. I tell everyone around him also that head down, let him do what he has to do. They are clicking him, they are doing everything but I can’t stop him from being who he is and from having a normal life, as a parent. I can’t not send him to school, I can’t not send him to play with his friends. I can’t lock him up. I want him to fly, I want him to be free. And if this is what the cost it, then me and Saif are dealing with it. It’s a struggle every single day. It’s just that people don’t know unless we are asked about it in an interview. Of course, it is extremely worrisome to both, me and Saif.
In an interview earlier, Saif had said that he would send Taimur to a boarding school when he turns 13. Anupama asked Kareena about Saif’s idea and Bebo said that they were left with no choice.
She said,
They are leaving us with no choice. But of course, as a mother, it would kill me to send him away. And I think it would be unfair like I tell Saif that it would be like running away from reality because this is the reality.
Though it would break our hearts to see Taimur go to a boarding school, it seems like an appropriate thing. What do you think?
