8 Foods To Eat Before You Head Out For A Long Night Of Drinking

The weekend is almost here! And when the weekend is here, we all let our hair down and unwind. Some of us do it by staying home, watching a movie or reading a book. While others go out with friends for a long, hard night of partying. With those intense night outs, come those really stubborn hangovers. They’re mostly because of dehydration and lack of sleep. To avoid those, here are a few foods you could eat that could help you cope. Here they are.

1. Bread

Eating bread will help keep you full for longer and will also soak a lot of the alcohol in your body.

2. Eggs

Eggs are a great source of protein and according to a study, the essential amino acids are required to help break down the alcohol in your body.

3. Hummus

Since alcohol reduces vitamin B in your body, hummus helps to increase vitamin B levels back.

4. Low-Fat Yoghurt

Another great source of protein! Low-fat yoghurt will also keep you full for longer and will keep your stomach cool.

5. Water

Since alcohol dehydrates you and is the main reason for your hangover, it’s important to stay hydrated by having a lot of water all day before you head out.

6. Quinoa

Quinoa also keeps the body full and is high in protein and helps the body refrain from a hangover.

Most liquors are high on sugar and sweet potatoes could help in managing sugar levels of the body.

8. Watermelon

Watermelons are made up of 92% water. This means consuming them before a long night out can help hydrate you for a long time.
