Even before Priyanka Chopra made her relationship with Nick Jonas official, everyone was already going gaga over the new couple in town. After being spotted at a number of outings together, Priyanka and Nick had a roka ceremony in Mumbai and formalised their relation.
Just today, pictures and videos from her bridal shower went viral on the internet and PeeCee was seen having a ball of a time! While we couldn’t get over the pictures, we always wondered what worked for their relationship? Priyanka, in an interview with People Magazine, revealed the reason.
Priyanka said,
Truly this (respect) is what worked for me, he has to be someone who respects you. By that, I don’t mean makes coffee for you, not that. But someone who respects the hard work you put into your life.
She added that it is all about respect.
Who respects that if his work is important, so is yours. Or if he makes choices that are important to him, so is your opinion. That’s respect, and that’s incredible to have.
She further said,
Then everything is so easy because you give each other credit for your intelligence, you give each other the benefit of the doubt because you trust each other. There’s so much that comes out of that. I think don’t settle for less than that.
