As we are getting closer to bid farewell to 2018, we have witnessed a number of weddings in Bollywood. While we are literally two more months away from the New Year’s, a few more filmy shaadis are coming our way and we are only excited. Just yesterday, Deepika Padukone and Ranveer Singh officially announced their wedding. The couple shared a note on social media which sent fans in a frenzy. Now another Bollywood actor has announced his wedding and we are only looking forward to it.
Comedian and actor Kapil Sharma in an interview with IANS revealed that he’ll be tying the knot girlfriend Ginni Chatrath on the 12th of December. In the interview, Kapil revealed that they’ll be getting married on the 12th of December in Jalandhar and will be hosting a grand reception for friends in Mumbai on the 14th of December.
Talking to the agency, Kapil said,
We wanted to keep it low key. But Ginni is the only daughter in her family. Her folks wanted the wedding to be on a lavish scale. And I completely understand their sentiments. My mother also wants the wedding to be lavish.
Kapil also revealed that the date was finalized for a while now but kept it under the wraps as he was promoting his Punjabi film Son Of Manjeet Singh, which was produced by him.
For the past few weeks, I’ve been promoting my Punjabi film. I didn’t want to talk about the wedding during the promotions, although the media repeatedly kept asking.
Kapil also said that he was quite happy.
Of course I am. But more than me, the happiness that I see on my mother’s face is what makes it special.
