Ever since Student Of the Year 2 was announced I was excited about it. The first part that released in 2012 marked the debut of Alia Bhatt, Sidharth Malhotra and Varun Dhawan in the Karan Johar directorial. So, the sequel has to be bigger and better, yes? This part is directed by Punit Malhotra and while earlier the film was slated to release this year, now we will only meet the new batch of students next year. While Student Of the Year 2 stars Tiger Shroff, it marks the debut of two new leading ladies Ananya Panday and Tara Sutaria and I cannot wait to see how the girls perform.
While nothing much about the film is out yet, I’ve got my hands on some fresh information and it’s sure to get you excited for the film. Remember how we witnessed a dance-off between Varun, Alia and Sid in Disco Deewane? Seems like in part two we’ll witness something similar. A source close to the project revealed that the team has been shooting for the prom song currently in Yash Raj Studios and today is their last day.
Revealing information about the song, the source added that the students will be seen dancing to a medley of retro songs which begins with Yeh Jawani Hai Deewani title track. The song which was filmed on Randhir Kapoor and Jaya Bachchan will be reprised for the sequel and the students will shake their leg on this one.
The source further said,
Like the first part witnessed a dance off between Alia-Sid and Varun-Sana Khan, this one will showcase tension between Ananya and Tiger. While the song begins with a dance off between all the students, the last two couple who remain the competition are Tiger-Tara and Ananya-Aditya Seal.
The song is choreographed by Remo D’souza and Ananya and Tara will be seen wearing golden and grey one pieces respectively while Tiger will be seen donning a white shirt, black trousers, and a grey blazer.
