Yami Gautam graced the runway on day 3 of Lotus Make-Up India Fashion Week and gave us a glimpse into what she’d look like as a traditional India bride. She elegantly walked the runway for Warp n Weft India and, TBH, we couldn’t take our eyes off of her even for a minute. She wore a red lehenga with undertones of orange that were intricately embroidered with detailing inspired by Kashmiri and Victorian cultures. Such a contrasting combo, right? That’s why we couldn’t think of anyone better than Yami Gautam to embody a vibe that is both modern yet classic.
The entire Spring Summer 2019 collection blended the finest Kashmiri embellishments with royal Victorian motifs to create one unified ensemble that spoke of splendor. It was a garment that would vibe with the modern bride of today who’d love to experiment with her style but still keep her roots close. That’s precisely why we couldn’t think of anyone better than Yami Gautam to close the show in a stunning look like this one. With her hair cropped short and tasseled earrings, she played the role of a modern Indian bride quiet perfectly.
