Over time, I’ve come to love the texture of my wavy hair. With a bit of salt spray, I can amp up the waves to curls, but I can also straighten them out to get a sleek look. However, the one thing I’ve always had a problem with is frizz! After a lot of testing, I’ve finally found a few products that manage to tame my hair. Check them out below.
1. John Frieda Frizz Ease Daily Nourishment Shampoo
Honestly, I love John Frieda’s Frizz Ease line, but this shampoo is definitely the star product. Since I wash my hair pretty frequently, I require a formula that won’t strip away moisture or leave a residue on my scalp. This product makes my mane softer and smoother, without weighing it down.
2. L’Oreal Professionnel Mythic Oil Masque
Here’s a secret that every wavy-to-curly haired girl knows – replacing your regular conditioner with a mask does wonders for frizz. Enriched with argan oil, this formula deeply nourishes hair and tames it in one go. Typically, I leave it on for about 3-4 minutes before rinsing it out.
3. Decathlon Soft Microfibre Hair Towel
If I had to attribute my newfound sleekness to one product, it would definitely be this towel! Not only does it sop up water faster than any other towel, but also does so without roughing up the shaft of my hair. If you are planning on buying one (seriously, just do it!), I recommend that you blot and pat your hair to soak up the moisture so that it dries down to a more manageable finish.
4. Kératase Soin Oléo-Relax
I use this serum on a daily basis, even if I haven’t washed my hair. Apart from adding a layer of sheen to my mane, it also smoothens out any flyaways instantly. It even acts as a detangler on wet hair and thus prevents knots and breakage. Just remember to use it sparingly because a little really does go a long way!
5. Moroccanoil Smoothing Lotion
If I’m air-drying my hair, the above serum counts as the last step in my routine. However, when I do bust out my blow-dryer, this lotion is a prerequisite. Since it’s filled with a whole bunch of nourishing ingredients like argan oil and argan butter, it preps my tresses for heat styling. Every time I use it, my locks seem more defined and touchable. Plus, it provides medium hold and keeps all my hard work in place throughout the day.
