Raj Kapoor’s wife’s Krishna Raj Kapoor passed away this morning at 4 O’clock. She was 87 years old and suffered a cardiac arrest. Mother to 5 children, Randhir Kapoor, Ritu Kapoor Nanda, Rishi Kapoor, Rima Kapoor Jain and Rajiv Kapoor, Krishna Raj Kapoor was an exceptional being of her time and held the Kapoor family together after their father and her husband, Raj Kapoor passed away in 1988.
Randhir issued a statement that read,
I regret to announce that I lost my mother early this morning. She died peacefully.
He added that the last rights will be performed at Chembur crematorium.
As soon as the news broke on social media, the filmwallahs took to Twitter to express their condolences. Here’s what they said,

The Kapoor’s celebrated their last Ganesh Utsav this year at the well known RK Studios before it goes for sale. Krishna Raj Kapoor’s death marks the end of an era for the Kapoor family.
