Tanushree Dutta has begun the #TimesUp movement in India after she spoke about the sexual harassment she faced on the sets of a film 10 years ago. In a recent interview with Zoom, the actress spoke about how her co-star Nana Patekar took advantage of her on the sets of Horn Ok Pleasss. Ever since then, every Bollywood actor has been asked to react to the incident. Varun Dhawan was recently present at an event and he too was asked about his thoughts on the same.
The Sui Dhaaga actor said,
I’ve been very busy with Sui Dhaaga so I haven’t heard everything but respect has its place for a woman, a child and a man And we have to keep out industry safe. We have to make it safe for women, men and children. Every person should be given an equal respect. I don’t know too much about the issue so I can’t talk about it clearly. I’ll speak about the respect factor and if a person is talking about this openly, I think we should hear that person out. It takes great courage to talk like that so I applaud that courage.
