Tanushree Dutta speaking about the harassment she faced at the hands of Nana Patekar on the sets of the 2008 film Horn Ok Pleasssss was one of the most shocking revelations of this year. And it has somewhat sparred what looks like Bollywood’s #MeToo movement. While the actress had come out about it when she faced the harassment back in 2008, no one had paid heed to her. Times are different now with social media having a bigger role to play. After her initial interview with Zoom TV, she has given multiple interviews talking about the issue. While many Bollywood A-listers have chosen to remain quiet about it, many others have come out in support for the actress. Recently, Dimple Kapadia revealed that Nana has a dark side. Meanwhile, the director and choreographer of Horn Ok Pleasssss defended Nana Patekar saying that Tanushree may have misunderstood his intentions.
Nana Patekar had finally responded to the allegations later last week saying that he might take legal action. Recently, the actor who is currently shooting for Housefull 4 in Jaisalmer, spoke to Navbharat Times and disclosed that he will hold a press conference to talk about the allegations against him once he returns to Mumbai. He also said that he will face the cameras and the media and answer all their questions since he has nothing to hide.
Tanushree had earlier responded to Nana’s claim that he might take legal action saying that she hasn’t received any legal notice. After Nana disclosed that he will hold a press conference, according to reports in SpotBoye, Tanushree has requested all the members of the press to attend it.
Journalists must go to Nana’s press conference. He is an actor. Kaafi acting hone wali hai, wahan pe. Be prepared for an award-winning performance from him.
Looks like Tanushree is not the one to back down, at least not this time.
