Today is the first day of Ganesh Chathurti and many of us are welcoming Ganpati Bappa at home. For those who prefer to make the sweets at home for guests, we’ve got you a quick and easy instant modak recipe that’ll be yummy as well as fast to whip up! Here’s the recipe curated by Vidhi Doshi a.k.a @RamenHairedGirl for these modaks.
What You’ll Need
1/4 cup heavy cream
1/4 cup condensed milk
1/2 cup chopped dark chocolate
3/4 cup coarsely crushed Marie biscuits
1/4 cup crushed dry fruits
Ghee for greasing
1 tbsp crushed dry fruits for garnish
Here’s How You Can Put It All Together
Step 1
Heat the heavy cream, condensed milk and chocolate in a broad pan and cook for about 2 minutes till the chocolate has melted.
Step 2
Add the crushed biscuits and the dry fruits, mix continuously for 2 minutes till combined.
Step 3
Transfer to a plate and let it cool completely. Once cooled, grease the inside of the modak mold with ghee.
Step 4
Fill the mold with the mixture and press tightly.
Step 5
De-mold and garnish with crushed dry fruits. And, voila! Instant modaks are ready!
Wasn’t that instant in the truest sense? Go ahead. Try it out, and tell us how they turned out!
