9 Things You'd Want To Instagram From Day 1 Of Lakme Fashion Week '18

Another season of Lakme Fashion Week is here and it has got me all excited! If you haven’t noticed yet, we love to cover these shows in and out. 1. The MakeUp Looks At GenNext

Swatches of black, silver, gold, and red made for a great makeup look for the GenNext designers presenting at Lakme Fashion Week Winter/Festive 2018. The opening show of the season had us all gripped the moment we saw these stunning looks being created backstage.

2. The Jackets at 431:88 By Shweta Kapur

I love layering and I’d like to think Shweta Kapur’s 431:88 loves it too because every outfit on the LFW runway proved it. From long line jackets to tassel-edged ones—there was an abundance of inspiration on how to layer.

3. The Wonderful Bird Motif At Urvashi Joneja

I personally love seeing a common motif in a designer’s collection and Urvashi Joneja’s free, soaring bird is one that made it to my faves. Its versatility was showcased through its appearance on gowns, jumpsuits and skirts alike.

4. EVERYTHING From Chola By Sohaya Misra

Gender-Bender by Chola is the show every fashion week all around the world needs. Chola’s classic layer play was in full swing and the added dose of drag culture only made it more awesome.

5. The Print Play At Vrisa by Rahul & Shikha

I love seeing a good print-on-print outfit on the ramp. And Vrisa by Rahul & Shikha got it so right! The flared

6. The Stunning Light Decor at AM:PM

AM:PM’s show transported us to a fun, Spanish party with a playlist fit to dance all night to. And outfits to dance all night in. Flowy fabrics, easy silhouettes, and statement jackets under pretty lights was something that literally ‘lit’ up our insta feed.

7. The Shimmer and Shine At Abraham & Thakore

From saris to jackets and men’s vests in shiny fabrics dazzled the runway from the get-go! The addition of details like satin ribbons, and sparkly shoes were a few of our favorite things from the shows.

8. The Simple Yet Stylish Silhouettes At Antar-Agni

Antar-Agni showed us a thing or two about the constant glare of society as well as our own demons through their Lakme Fashion Week Winter/Festive 2018 showcase. The simple yet stylish silhouettes and deep, earthy colours lent the perfect vibe to the overall set up of their show.

9. The Storytelling at Good Earth

Beautiful silks took center stage on the Good Earth home ground. With a gorgeous play of gota patti and sheer fabrics, The Miniaturist by Good Earth India was a total treat to the eyes.
