I feel like the entire media is having a Nick Jonas and Priyanka Chopra‘s engagement hangover. I mean can you blame us? I can’t have been the only one who was drooling over all the dreamy pictures from their roka. And as Monday begins we’re getting more and more deets of what went on inside that engagement bash that Nick and Priyanka had thrown after their roka. We saw that cute video that Nick posted of Priyanka dancing at the party, now the party DJ of the night, DJ Khushi has been very forthcoming to IANS about his experience of playing at the couple’s party.
Talking about Nick, he said,
Nick Jonas is more Indian than American. He was such a sport and was letting his lady lead the way throughout the celebrations. Both of them make such a beautifully co-ordinated couple and their sense of music is pretty much similar.
He also revealed the songs that the guests were grooving to at the party.
Friends and families danced on songs by Cardi B and Drake. In Bollywood numbers, songs like ‘Ban ja rani’ and ‘Bom diggy diggy’ and of course the biggest wedding song in the country – ‘Gallan Goodiyaan’, which is a song from Priyanka’s movie, were a big hit.
I’m kind of sad that they didn’t play desi girl or mujse shaadi karogi. Priyanka probably didn’t want to do the obvious! I get you, girl!
He further added that he was given a brief to keep things light and breezy.
I was given a mandate of keeping the mood energetic and breezy. My set started with a lot of deep house towards the early evening followed some of pop, hip-hop and R&B, and then as the night progressed…Bollywood.
Just like every party ever! Because who wants to listen to elevator music when you’re a couple of drinks down right?!
