1. Jallianwala Bagh, Punjab
Pay your respects at the Jallianwala Bagh where the massacre killed many defenceless civilians in 1919.
2. Kargil War Memorial, Kargil
This place has a Sandstone Wall which has the names of all the officers in the Indian army who gave their lives in the Kargil war.
3. Sabarmati Ashram, Gujrat
This is the place in Gujrat where Mahatma Gandhi lived for over a decade. In fact, he started the Dandi March from here itself. You will feel very patriotic here.
4. Jhansi Fort, Uttar Pradesh
This is where Rani Laxmibai a.k.a Jhansi Ki Rani fought bravely against the British during their reign. It’s a very empowering and awe-inspiring fort.
5. Red Fort, New Delhi
Every Independence Day, the country looks forward to the flag hoisting followed by a 21 gun salute. Pride, at this point, would be an understatement.
6. Wagah Border, Punjab
The ceremony of lowering the flag will definitely fill your heart with pride. People travel from all over to witness this.
7. India Gate, New Delhi
The memorial was built for soldiers who lost their lives during the First World War. It’s also called the All India War Memorial. There is also a fire called Amar Jawan Jyoti that burns constantly in their memory.
