Pakistan’s Prime Minister to be Imran Khan will be taking his oath on 11th of August in Islamabad. As per reports doing rounds on the internet, Imran had invited Bollywood actor Aamir Khan and former cricketers Sunil Gavaskar, Kapil Dev and Navjot Singh Sidhu to be a part of his oath-taking ceremony. While Navjot Singh Sidhu had expressed that he would love to attend it, Aamir in a recent interview to News 18 revealed that he won’t be attending the event.
Aamir said,
I haven’t got an invitation yet. I am busy with a big event on the 12th of August. Even if I’m invited, I’m too busy to go.
The reason why Aamir was invited for the oath-taking ceremony was because Aamir has always supported Imran and has wished his win in Pakistan. At an event, Aamir had also promised him that he would be present in Pakistan to celebrate his success.
