Priyanka Chopra fans were disheartened after she stepped out from Salman Khan starrer Bharat. The film which is directed by Tiger Zinda Hai director, Ali Abbas Zafar is a remake of Korean film Ode To My Father and starred Salman in the lead role with Priyanka and Disha Patani. While Ali announced that Priyanka had stepped out from the project due to personal reasons, reports hinting her marriage to Nick Jonas were already spreading like wildfire. Now, in an interview to IANS, Ali opened up about PeeCee’s quit.
Ali had tweeted a cryptic message after PeeCee stepped out from his flick and when questioned about the reason for the same, he explained,
I am going to reserve my comment. I am just going to say that what I said was what I meant, and I am very happy for Priyanka wherever she is in life right now professionally and personally.
Talking about the equation he shares with Priyanka, Ali added,
All my heart goes to her because she has been a good friend since a really long time and we get along really well. I would say that I wish all the happiness and love. Hopefully, I am going to see her soon.
After Priyanka, Katrina Kaif stepped into her shoes for this drama and considering the trio has already delivered a blockbuster last year with TZH, Ali said,
They are lovely together. The film is also very emotional and the characters are very rooted, simple and relatable. We hope that when the film comes out, people react positively to that.
Divulging details about what the audience should expect from Bharat, the filmmaker revealed,
You will see a lot of songs. It is a musical. You will see action, emotions, and comedy. It is a mix of all. It is a journey of a man and the nation together… And hopefully when it comes out, people are going to react emotionally, and entertainment-wise it is going to make them ecstatic.
Even though Priyanka has walked out from the film, that has surely not left a bitter relationship between the two. We really hope that the duo collaborates for a project together soon!
