A lot happened around IIFA Awards this year. I mean everybody went gaga over veteran actress Rekha‘s performance. She was literally the epitome of grace and I couldn’t stop staring at her. Such a timeless performance it was and while I thought that’s all I will be reading on the internet, I came across a post on Facebook which left me shocked. If you remember the awards, it also gave a tribute to veteran actress Sridevi who passed away earlier this year. After India lost its first female superstar, her fans took to social media to showcase their love. One such person was Saba Arif. Apparently, Saba had also uploaded a video on Youtube after the actress passed away.

Now, if you managed to catch the telecast of IIFA on Sunday you may have watched the tribute video that was played on IIFA’s stage in honour of Sridevi.
What’s the connection you ask?
Well, the tribute video by IIFA looks very similar to Saba’s. Arif realized it too and took to Facebook to accuse IIFA of plagiarism.
She wrote,

Here is the video that played at IIFA 2018.
While it was heartbreaking to see something like this on national television, the folks at IIFA haven’t replied to Saba’s allegation yet.
