1. Turmeric & Hot Milk
If you’ve got a sore throat, a little turmeric and hold milk will work wonders for you. Have a glass in the night and you’ll feel much better. It is also known to be very calming and will help you get a good nights sleep. You’ll most commonly see turmeric used in Ayurvedic medicines. This is because it is a powerful antioxidant and is also considered a natural antiseptic & anti-bacterial agent. This, along with some honey and ginger will get you cured in no time.
2. Prunes
This is one of those dry fruits that you usually love avoiding. That being said, if you ever find yourself constipated, prunes are one of the best cures for it. It helps the body in digesting food properly and relieves you of constipation because prunes are high in fibre and sorbitol. The sorbitol acts as a laxative because it pulls moisture into the digestive tract and helps facilitate bowel movements.
3. Coconut Water
Coconut water can help when it comes to cases of dehydration. When exercising, it works as a great source of hydration as it helps restore the body with electrolytes. Electrolytes are minerals that play several important roles in the body, including maintaining proper fluid balance. They include potassium, magnesium, sodium and calcium.
4. Cold Milk
If you got a bad case of acidity, cold milk is one of the best ways to help get rid of it! The milk helps neutralise the acids in your stomach which are causing you severe discomfort. Additionally, even an ice cream works wonders!
5. Ginger
If you suffer from constantly getting headaches or migraines, we highly advise that you keep some ginger on hand. Very often, ginger is referred to as the elixir for headaches and is one the best home remedy that can offer instant relief. Giger helps by reducing the inflammation of the blood vessels in the head, which in turn, helps ease the pain. It also helps stimulate digestion which means that it’s great for quelling nausea that comes along with those pesky migraines as well.
