Kangana Ranaut has never shied away from calling a spade a spade and that’s what defines her standing in Bollywood today. Kangana carries her heart on her sleeve and is bold enough to reign as one of Bollywood’s successful actresses without fearing the backlash. And that’s why ladies look up to the Manikarnika actress for inspiration. Recently, Kangana graced the July cover of Cosmopolitan and in the interview, the actress revealed that she was subjected to physical violence at a younger age and it was her courage and strength that made her the powerful woman she is today.
Kangana said,
Everything I have been through has made me the person I am today. But when I was very young, a minor, I was subjected to physical violence and exploitation. That shouldn’t have happened. But when I look back, I feel that the person I am today is the result of the strength, wisdom and kind of understanding of myself and my character, which was brought about at a young age being subjected to such extreme circumstances.
She further added that she wouldn’t want anybody to go through what she did.
It is the result of extreme pain and humiliation that I had to go through. I think if I had to exchange that with someone else, I would rather have that experience. I wouldn’t want anyone to go through physical abuse.
We are super proud of you Kangana. Go conquer the world, girl!
