Veere Di Wedding is finally out, the reviews and box office collection is enough praise to let you know how awesome the #NotAChickFlick is. It would be safe to say that Kareena Kapoor Khan, Sonam K Ahuja, Swara Bhasker and Shikha Talsania are all basking in the glory of the grand opening that the film has received. But, like with life, everything comes with a price we guess, and this one did too.
Recently, Swara became a target for trolls on Twitter from our country and our neighbouring country for different reasons. The first set of trolls were those that slammed her for a masturbation scene in the film and the tweets are oddly similar to each other as some of Swara’s fans pointed out.
Take a look.
Hey @ReallySwara just watched #VeereDiWedding with my grandmother. We got embarrassed when that masturabation scene came on screen. as we came out of the theater my grandmother said ” I’m hindustan and i am ashamed of #VeereDiWedding

But fortunately, some sense prevailed among the others and this happened.
For some weird reasons, people who cant spell “Masturbation” are going to watch #VeereDiWedding with their Grandmothers and want answers from @ReallySwara pic.twitter.com/CAB1ab5b4O

And this hilarious tweet about the whole incident is a must-see.
Why are so many sanskari people watching #VeereDiWedding with their grandmothers?

Our thoughts exactly.
But Swara, like the badass she is, has no time for haters and cooly took to Twitter to hit back.
??????? Looks like a certain IT cell sponsored the tickets- or definitely the tweets !!!! ??♀️??♀️??♀️???? https://t.co/KIUqMoOLRG

While in the neighbouring country, Swara’s caused quite a storm by calling Pakistan a failed state and how she didn’t expect anything less from them when they banned the film. To which, a Pakistani VJ, Urwa Hocane was one of the many who took to Twitter to express her displeasure.
Need I say more ?! @ReallySwara pic.twitter.com/KvJm2swdCL

While Swara initially took to Twitter to say that she may just have managed to bring about peace between the two countries, she soon clarified her statement about Pakistan.
Looks like Indo-Pak peace is on the horizon! ???✌?✌?✌?✌?????? #DushmanKaDushmanDost pic.twitter.com/sq4foSDhFc

Thanks Anshul! there should we a distinction between States/ govts of a country & the people of that country. My regard for & goodwill towards the people of #Pakistan remains unchanged. Some of my closest friends are Pakistani. Lahore remains one of my soul cities. ❤️❤️?? https://t.co/JHImDSnwKU

Well… like we said, people ought to take some lessons from Swara on how to deal with trolls so effortlessly.
