Rajkumar Hirani’s Sanju will be hitting the screens tomorrow and just before it hits the screens, the film has run into trouble. Activists Gaurav Gulati has filed a complaint against Ranbir Kapoor and Anushka Sharma for making offensive remarks against sex workers in the trailer of the film. The trailer of Sanju had released a month back and had received a positive response from the audience increasing their excitement for the film.
The scene in question talks about women in Sanjay Dutt’s life in which Ranbir who essays the role of Dutt is seen saying, “308, without counting the sex workers.” In the letter to the National Commission for Women, Gulati has said, “The complaints wants to draw your kind notice towards the outrageous and cheap dialogues being used in the upcoming movie, namely, Sanju by the Bollywood actors Ranbir Kapoor and Anushka Sharma,” reported ANI.
He further added, “All the dialogues used in the trailer are not only outrageous and anti-women but also shows low mindset of the movie makers towards the women fraternity.” The film’s team hasn’t replied to the complaint yet.
This is not the first complaint that has been filed against this biopic. Earlier jail authorities had filed a complaint about showcasing the toilet leakage scene in the trailer. ANI had reported that the scene would create a ‘bad impression about jails authorities of India.’
Apart from Ranbir and Anushka, Sanju stars Paresh Rawal,Dia Mirza, Manisha Koirala and Vicky Kaushal.
