Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt turned heads at Sonam K Ahuja and Anand S Ahuja’s reception when they posed together for the shutterbugs. The grapevine had been strong that the duo was seeing each other. While the reports filled the air, Ranbir agreed to dating the Raazi actress in an interview to GQ.
Ranbir had said,
It’s really new right now, and I don’t want to overspeak. It needs time to breathe and it needs space. As an actor, as a person, Alia is — what’s the right word — flowing right now. When I see her work, when I see her act, even in life, what she gives is something that I’m aspiring to for myself.
After Ranbir, we were waiting for Alia’s reaction to the dating reports and her answer is finally out. Recently in an interview with DNA, the actress was asked about the dating rumours.
Talking about it, Alia said,
The truth never bothers me. At the same time, even lies don’t affect me because if it’s not true, I don’t care. Link-up rumours don’t affect my relationships with people. We have gotten used to it because it is a part and parcel of being in the business and limelight. Everyone has things to say and you can’t get affected by them.
Ranbir and Alia will be sharing screen space for the first time for Ayan Mukherji’s Brahmastra.
Talking about what a fine actor Ranbir is, Alia added,
It’s been great working with him. It’s exactly how I imagined it to be. I’ve always thought that Ranbir is such an amazing actor. So, I hoped that his process to his art would also be equally beautiful. He’s the easiest actor as well as a human being I’ve worked with. I’m at times shocked at how chilled out he is (laughs). That doesn’t mean he’s detached. He’s just too positive and understands that there’s a flip side to everything. His attitude is like ki sab manage ho jayega. I’ve learnt a lot from that.
Well now that Alia has finally addressed the dating reports, all the rumors, can finally take a back seat.
