The trailer of Ishaan Khatter and Janhvi Kapoor starrer Dhadak released a few days ago and it managed to grab a lot of attention. The Shashank Khaitan directorial is a remake of Marathi superhit Sairat and is slated to hit the screens on 20th of July. Recently, Janhvi in an interview revealed how working in the film helped her deal with the loss of her mother, Sridevi.
Talking about it, Janhvi said,
It hasn’t been an easy experience. My work and my family have given me the strength to go on. If it wasn’t for coming back to the sets of Dhadak or being able to act, I think it would have been much tougher than what it is now. I am very thankful that I had the opportunity to work in the film and act. It saved me in many ways.
Always inclined towards films, she added,
I don’t know if I always knew that I wanted to act but I was always inclined towards movies. It is something that I am very passionate about. Working in Dhadak feels like a dream come true. It is too good to be true.
She also revealed that everybody in her family is passionate about films.
In my family, it is the only that we discuss. It’s the only thing we knew. Every time we sit at home and have a conversation with one another, it is always about films. Even when we go out to spend time together, we go out to watch a movie. Holidays were always about dad’s shooting schedules or mom’s shooting schedules. We have grown up in that environment.
Here’s wishing you luck, Janhvi!
