A fire broke out at the top floor of Beau Monde, the building Bollywood actress Deepika Padukone resides in. The incident took place at 2.00 pm today with the 32nd and 33rd floor being affected badly. With over 90 residents in the building, nobody has been injured, revealed a police source to NDTV. After the fire broke the fire brigade officials informed that five water tankers and six dire engines rushed to the spot.
When a Twitter user alerted the Mumbai Police about the fire, they replied by saying,
Our staff & Fire Brigade is on the spot for assistance. They are trying their best to douse the fire and provide necessary help to people there.

A source close to Deepika informed Indian Express that the actress was safe as she was shooting for a brand.
The source revealed,
It’s not her house or office which has caught fire. It has happened on the 32nd floor. The fire brigade is on their way already. Deepika is on the set shooting for her brand. Her staff has evacuated the apartment.
The reason for the fire is yet to be determined.
