The trailer of the biopic based on Sanjay Dutt‘s life, titled, Sanju released a week ago and received amazing reviews from the industry insiders and audiences too. Ranbir Kapoor plays Sanjay’s character in the film and was highly praised for his performance. But all’s not well with Rajkumar Hirani‘s upcoming project. The trailer highlighted many aspects of Sanjay’s life with the highs and lows both included. The snippet also showed the actor’s time in the jail but according to reports, one particular scene has landed the makers of the film in trouble. It’s the toilet-leak scene inside the barrack of the jail, Sanju Baba was confined to. Reports suggest that a complaint has been filed with the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC) by activist, Prithvi Mhaske.
The letter addressed to Prasoon Joshi, the Chairman of CBFC, Ranbir, and makers of Sanju reads:
In the trailer of the movie, we have seen a scene that Sanjay Dutt was in such a barrack of a jail in which the toilet overflowed. As per the information available, the government and jail authorities are taking a very well care of all the barracks of the jails. We never heard any such incidents anywhere. Earlier as well many movies were released based on the gangsters where in the jails were covered but never had seen such incidents. This particular scene will make a bad impression about the jails and jails authorities of the Indians.
It also mentioned:
If there is no action about the same by you then we are left with no option to approach honourable court to put stay on the release of the movie.
We’re still waiting to hear the CBFC Board and the team Sanju‘s reply to it.
