Priyanka Chopra recently faced a lot of flak on Twitter after the last episode of her crime drama show Quantico was aired. The episode titled ‘The Blood of Romeo’ stirred up a controversy after it showcased ‘Indian nationalists’ planning a bomb blast in Manhattan in order to accuse Pakistan of it. While the episode created a controversy on Twitter, the makers of the show later issued an apology.
The statement read,
ABC Studios and the executive producers of ‘Quantico’ would like to extend an apology to our audience who were offended by the most recent episode, ‘The Blood of Romeo.’ The episode has stirred a lot of emotion, much of which is unfairly aimed at Priyanka Chopra, who didn’t create the show, nor does she write or direct it. She has no involvement in the casting of the show or the storylines depicted in the series.

After Quantico wrapping up, Priyanka will now return to India to kick-start the shooting for Ali Abbas Zafar’s Bharat. The film is a remake of Korean film Ode To My Father and stars Salman Khan.
