The most stressful part about travelling abroad probably has to be getting a visa. Most countries, especially European ones tend to have a long process which requires a lot of documentation. The process of obtaining a visa keeps changing from time to time and sometimes, keeping up becomes a hassle. Luckily though, not all countries make you go through a gruelling process in order to get a visa. Here are 15 countries that grant Indians a visa on arrival.
1. Cambodia
You can obtain a visa on arrival for Cambodia, for a maximum stay of 30 days. All you need to do is pay a fee of $ 20. You must also have a passport photo, sufficient funds to cover your stay and all travel documents (visa application form and confirmed flight tickets.). Make sure your passport is valid for at least 6 months from the date of arrival!

2. Jordan
Jordan is one of the newer countries on this list. It’s just recently that they have opened their doors to a visa on arrival process for Indians. All you need to do is pay a fee of $ 30, carry at least $ 1000 to cover your stay and hold all onward or return flight tickets. Also, if you’re exiting Jordan from Aqaba, along with the Red Sea, you’ll be granted a one month visa for free.
Key Attractions: Petra, Al Magthas, Jerash, Dead Sea and Aqaba.
3. Indonesia
You can get a 30-day visa on arrival, for Indonesia for just $ 25. The same rules of sufficient funds and flight tickets apply. Also, make sure your passport is valid for six months from your date or arrival.
Key Attractions: Lake Toba, Tanjung Puting, Gili Islands and Komodo National Park.
4. The Maldives
The Maldives is actually one of the easiest countries to get a visa on arrival. You can get a 90 visa free of charge. All you need to have are your return or onward flight tickets. In case you don’t have a hotel booking, you need to have $ 30 per person, per day of the stay.
Key Attractions: Como Cocoa Island, Baros Island and Rangali Island.
5. Mauritius
You can get a visa on arrival for a maximum stay of 60 days. In regards to the documents, you need a confirmed booking of accommodation, a sponsorship letter and confirmed return flight tickets. You also need to have sufficient funds for daily expenses and your stay ($ 100 per day).
Key Attractions: Botanical Gardens, Chamarel Park and Gabriel Islands.
6. Seychelles
All you need to get a visa on arrival for Seychelles is have an onward or return ticket and minimum funds of $ 150 per person, per day. You’d also need to have a proof of accommodation.
Key Attractions: Anse Lazio, Morne Seychellois National Park and Beau Vallon Beach.
7. Thailand
Another place that has the visa process much simpler for Indians is Thailand. You can get a visa on arrival for just $ 35. You need to have an onward or return flight ticket plus a minimum of 10,000 baht. Also, make sure your stay doesn’t exceed 15-30 days.
Key Attractions: Phi Phi Islands, Grand Palace, Wat Phra Kaew and Erawan Falls.
8. Macau
For Macau, you get a 30-day visa on arrival. It will cost you about $ 20 and you need to have all proofs such as stay, onward or return travel.
Key Attractions: Ruins of St. Paul, Taipa, The Venetian Macao, Senado Square.
9. Cape Verde
To enter Cape Verde, you’ll need to pay roughly 25 euros for your visa on arrival. There aren’t any specifics in regards to the documents. However, we suggest you keep the basics such as proof of stay, return tickets and minimum amounts.
Key Attractions: Sal, Boa Vista, Santiago and Santa Maria.
10. Bolivia
Another country that added India to their list of countries whose citizens can get a visa on arrival was Bolivia. You need to pay a fee of $ 60 in order to get the visa. You’ll also need to have documents like return flight tickets, hotel bookings, yellow fever card and also your original bank statements.
Key Attractions: La Paz, Sucre, Salar De Uyuni and Cerro Rico Potosi.
