Marking the sixth anniversary of his mother Mona Shourie Kapoor’s death, Arjun Kapoor took to Instagram and shared an adorable picture along with a heartfelt caption addressed to her. In his message, he mentions how he’s never got to walk the red carpet with her or show her one of his films but tells her that he knows that she’s been with him and his sister, Anshula Kapoor throughout their journeys. He goes on to tell her how there are times when he wants to look for her to draw strength and that he is trying to be a reflection of her teachings. He ends the message asking her to spread her love and warmth wherever she is.
Here’s the heart-wrenching post:
Arjun lost his mother to cancer just days before the release of his first movie, Ishaqzaade and he’s been outspoken about how much he wishes he could’ve shown her his film. The Kapoor clan has been going through a tough time with Sridevi’s death but both Arjun and Anshula have been standing by their father and sisters helping them move on.
We’re sure your mom’s watching over you and sending you all the sunshine and warmth, Arjun! Keep doing what you do and shine on! <3
