Jacqueline Fernandez‘ remix version of Ek Do Teen from Baaghi 2 opened to mixed reviews. While many did not like tampering with the original, which is a cult classic, others applauded Jackie’s tribute to Madhuri Dixit, which is obviously not easy.
The original song belongs to the film, Tezaab, whose director (N Chandra) is also not too impressed with the remake and called it a “sex act”. He even said that choreographer Saroj Khan is also disappointed and they both plan to take a legal action against the team involved in the remix. But recently Saroj ji finally broke her silence and told MumbaiMirror:
I’m extremely happy and proud of Ahmed (Khan) and Ganesh (Acharya) for paying us a tribute through this song. They have all my blessings.
A source further told the leading daily that there’s no question of a legal action and no competition either as Jacqueline’s song is a tribute to Madhuri’s epic song.
