Not many people know that Radhika Apte is married to musician Benedict Taylor, who resides in London. People who have been in one, will vouch for the fact that long distance relationships are not exactly a piece of cake. A lot of love, patience and dedication towards your lover is required to make it last – and that’s not everyone’s cup of tea. How does Radhika manage to be in one AND also manage an acting career which can be quite stressful at times?
The actor spoke to an entertainment website about sustaining her Mumbai-London relationship:
I try and visit every couple of months and he also comes so we’re not away from each other for more than a month. It’s exhausting and very expensive also. I remember sometimes people meet on an aircraft and they ask why are you flying economy and I’m like what the hell does that mean. Imagine making three trips in two months, and that too last-minute ones because suddenly I got a week off. It’s such an expensive lifestyle – two houses in two of the most expensive cities in the world and 2-3 tickets a month to travel back and forth every month. That’s why I’m not vegetating!
That does sound pretty expensive and exhausting. But hey, love makes the world go round, right?! Radhika has some very interesting movies lined up for 2018, such as Sriram Raghavan’s Shoot The Piano Player, Vikramaditya Motwane’s Bhavesh Joshi with Harshvardhan Kapoor and Bazaar with Saif Ali Khan.
