After their fabulous work on the new movie, Black Panther, Academy Award winner Lupita Nyong’o and star Danai Gurira took to the red carpet with hairstyles that were meant to make a statement. In the mids of the glamorous charm of other beauty looks that were seen at Oscars 2018, theirs stood out because of the element of uniqueness.
Lupita’s hairdo was conceptualised by celebrity hairstylist Vernon François by taking inspiration from traditional Amasunzu hairstyle from Rwanda. The gold fern-like embellishment added to the different sections of the hair made them more prominent. It was definitely a standout from the many soft waves we encountered on the red carpet and was equally drool-worthy.
Danai has sported the cool buzz cut for some time now, but to match up to her glam outfit, she went for a glittery take on it. She added a hint of shiny white hue to the design shaven on the left side. Can this hairstyle get any badass than this, also when teamed with a gown!
