Rani Mukerji tied the knot with Aditya Chopra in a private ceremony in Italy and since then, we’ve barely spotted the actress unless she’s out and about promoting her film. The two have a little baby girl named Adira, who naturally and for obvious reasons, been kept away from the media glare. Rani has previously stated that all her time is now being devoted to her daughter and that she’s absolutely enjoying this new phase of being a mother.
Ahead of her upcoming film – Hichki – Rani made an appearance on BFFs with Vogue with her long-time BFF and ace designer Sabyasachi Mukherjee. She was hilarious as always and spilled the beans on how she first met her husband, who also happened to be her then producer.
After having faced failure for a couple of my films, luckily Mujhse Dosti Karoge happened and that’s when I met Adi for the first time professionally. He told me that I’m doing a couple of crap films and that people have pressured him not to take me because they think ‘you don’t have the equity for a Yash Raj film’ but Adi had belief in my talent and me, and thought that I was good for the part. My mother and I have been very upfront people always and I like frankness and openness so I like the fact that he was on my face.
Honesty really is the best policy then – look how it worked in Chopra’s favour. 😉
PS – If you haven’t seen Hichki’s trailer yet, you can check it out here.
