For most, NYFW is all about the upcoming trends in fashion. For beauty addicts like us, it’s a chance to see how several makeup artists experiment and create statement-worthy looks. Here are a few of our favourites from day 1.
1. The Futuristic Vibes At Jeremy Scott
With bright pops of graphic liner, in the shape of an exaggerated, negative space cat-eye, and candy-coloured wigs, the models for Jeremy Scott definitely stood out.
2. Old World Glamour At Tadashi Shoji
The models at this show were the epitome of elegance. Their ruby red lips and metallic eye shadow complemented their outfits perfectly, whilst the hair was styled beautifully in loose waves.
3. Smoke On Smoke At Tom Ford
Tom Ford’s show laid heavy emphasis on the eyes. Ultra-smoky, with a hint of shimmer, the eye shadow extended all around the models’ peepers. The hair was accessorised with a thick head band.
4. Gilded Lids At Ulla Johnson
Dewy skin and gold leaf lids ruled the roost at Ulla Johnson. The rest of the face was kept simple to ensure that the foiled effect shone through.
5. Edgy Styles At Adam Selman
With their smudged wings and gelled hair, the models at this show looked beyond fierce.
6. Sunshine Eyes At Noon By Noor
Painted yellow eyes and fresh faces kept things unexpected and interesting on Noon By Noor’s ramp.
Which look were you drawn to the most out of these?
