Today being World Cancer Day, we would like to spread the awareness too. Rohan Shrestha gave us inspiration when he supported the Cancer Patients Aid Association or CPAA, for short. The foundation, established in 1969, services needy cancer patients all over India and even neighbouring countries like Bangladesh, Nepal, Bhutan and Pakistan. They have supported the treatments and overall needs of more than 3,00,000 cancer patients.
Rohan is known for his ‘White Tee Series‘ with famous celebrities in white tees, shot in black and white. What started off as a simple series of head shots, quickly gained popularity and became his signature.
The concept behind this was simple. He wanted to capture the purest form of the celebrities he’s worked with, before the air-brushing got in. He wanted the celebrity’s truest self, not their stardom, to come through.
Working with the CPAA for over a decade, Rohan thought the ideal way to give back, was through his gracious talent.
What was a ‘Hey! He is Ranbir Kapoor‘s photographer and he is photographing me today!’ day for the kids, was a ‘Capturing happiness, faith, strength and hope in its purest form’ experience for Rohan.
