Academy Award nominated actor James Franco has been accused of inappropriate or sexually exploitative behavior by five women (on record) who have worked with him in different capacities. In an article published in the Los Angeles Times on Thursday, the women accused him of abusing his power as an acting teacher and mentor in a sexually exploitative manner. During the taping of Late Night With Seth Meyers, the host asked him about the allegations that came up when James was spotted wearing the Time’s Up pin at the Golden Globes, which lead to actress Ally Sheedy tweeting –
Why is James Franco allowed in? Said too much. James Franco just won. Please never ever ask me why I left the film/tv business.
The tweets have now been deleted, and this was his reply on Seth’s show –
I had a great relationship with her. She took the tweet down. I don’t know, I really don’t. I don’t know, it was so shocking. I guess I’m just letting it be.
The actor has been skipping award functions where his work in the movie The Disaster Artist is being recognized. As per reports on People, he has even changed his phone number.
