Shilpa Shinde has made it to the final round of Bigg Boss 11 and many people believe that she is pegged to win the show. Prior to this, Shilpa had become a household name because of the popular comedy show Bhabiji Ghar Par Hai. Angoori Bhabhi (essayed by Shilpa) turned out to be the breakout character in the TV series, until she decided to leave the show and accuse producer Sanjay Kohli of sexually harassing her.
The producers and Shilpa were then embroiled in a legal battle. In the middle of this, Shilpa also spoke about her co-star from the show Saumya Tandon, stating that despite being aware of Shilpa’s problems, Saumya did not take her claims seriously.
While Saumya denies Shilpa’s accusation against her, she also spoke about how the serial eventually survived despite not having its most popular face. Here’s what she said in an interview to Times of India –
I did fear that the show will take a hit because the audience associates a face with a character. Moreover, it’s difficult to replace an actor, especially in comedy, as the genre needs performers. What saved Bhabiji, is that no one actor is big on the show.
And about her relatiolnship with Shilpa –
I had a strictly professional relationship with her. All I know is that she fit the role perfectly. People can see how she is in real life on Bigg Boss. I watched an episode of the show, but couldn’t follow it further.
