After launching his top students – Alia Bhatt, Varun Dhawan & Sidharth Malhotra in 2012 – Karan Johar is all set to launch Ishaan Khattar & Janhvi Kapoor with Dhadak in 2018. Ignoring all the debate on nepotism last year, Karan has gone on record to say that he feels responsible for the career of the kids he is launching. He is super protective and feels responsible for those he takes under his wings.
With all eyes on Janhvi & Ishaan as the most awaited debutants of this year, we are sure the mentor must have dished out some advice for them. On his show, Calling Karan on 104.8 Ishq FM, he read out a small inspirational note he wrote for them.
Read it here:
It’s a new year which means new beginnings and time for new relationship goals. Dear Jhanvi and Ishaan, you are going to embark on a new journey of stardom this year. You will face many firsts in 2018 from promotion to paparazzi to link-ups and trolling to fame and failures. You are going to see it all. Through all of this, I just want to remind you to not take yourself too seriously and absorb every new experience because these initial days will never come back again. Jhanvi, Ishaan your best qualities are that you all are still students. That you both really stand by your beliefs and the fact that you really don’t take yourself as seriously as I sometimes think you should. I love the fact that you are still vulnerable and innocent, please hold onto that.
Ishaan & Janhvi are sure lucky to have him as their guiding source. Karan clearly has a thing for letters, like we have said so many times before. We do too, and therefore we also wrote him one.
