2017 hasn’t been a great year for Bollywood as most of the movies starring superstars failed to perform at the box-office. One of the biggest movies of the year – Padmavati, which was seen as the film that will save 2017, has been pushed to an unknown release date due to the protests surrounding the film.
Ranveer Singh and Deepika Padukone must surely be disappointed by this outcome, but as a couple, this year has been amazing for them. With multiple public appearances and innumerable kisses being exchanged on social media, #DeepVeer have more or less made their relationship official, which makes their fans (including me) really, really happy!
On that great note, let’s do a recap of the cutest moments of India’s favourite couple:
1) When Ranveer was protective of Deepika while escorting her safety to her car
Ranveer and Deepika were spotted outside Zoya Akhtar’s house last weekend. Deepika rushed from the Filmfare Glamour and Style awards to hang with Ranveer, who has been spotted often at Zoya’s place as they prep for their upcoming movie Gully Boys. Deepika has been given full time police protection due to the death threats she has been receiving for playing Padmavati. They held hands as they stepped outside and Ranveer very sweetly gave her a kiss as she sat in her car.
2) When he dedicated the most romantic song to Deepika
Ranveer sent a very sweet message (and dedicated a song) to Deepika when she appeared on Shah Rukh Khan‘s special chat show Lux Golden Divas Baatein With Badshah and of course, she couldn’t stop blushing (nor could we).
3) When Deepika waited for Ranveer to complete his Padmavati shoot and then threw a fun house party
Manish Malhotra blessed us all by posting a selfie with the two.
4) And that time they couldn’t stop kissing each other…
5) When Deepika couldn’t stop smiling at Ranveer at the Ambani’s Ganesh Chaturthi Party
Just look at that smile, if that’s not love I don’t know what is!
6) They even colour co-ordinated their clothes this year
We all know what they say about couples who match together, right?

7) From the same date, we also got a video of them cuddling
What did I hear? You finally admitting that this is what love looks like? Good.

And he wore his rainbow coloured sequined jacket to the party.
9) And they celebrated Ranveer Singh’s birthday in style
They went for a quiet dinner and a quick drive in his new Aston Martin
10) When one date night wasn’t enough for the birthday
They were spotted twice in one day, that’s such a nice sight for sore eyes.

During Neha Dhupia‘s podcast, Ranveer picked his bae as the best kisser amongst the other gorgeous actresses he has kissed on-screen.

Clearly it’s her favourite emoji for Ranveer.
14) When they lived together for a while (reportedly)
They were shooting for Padmavati so they decided to stay together closer to the studio.
