From Aadar Jain in Qaidi Band to Nidhhi Agerwal in Munna Michael, from Kanan Gill in Noor to Mustafa Burmawalla in Machine – several youngsters made their Bollywood debut this year. But just like most 2017 releases, their performances also failed to leave a mark in the minds of the audience. However, 2018 has some really interesting films in store for us and we are already looking forward to watching them. Moreover, several promising faces are all set to make their presence felt on the screen for the first time in the upcoming months. Here’s a lowdown on the newcomers we cannot wait to watch this year.
Ishaan Khatter
Just like his parents Neelima Azeem and Rajesh Khatter and step brother Shahid Kapoor, Ishaan Khatter is super passionate about cinema and acting. Next year, he will be seen playing the lead roles in two major films – Beyond The Clouds and the Hindi remake of the Marathi blockbuster Sairat titled Dhadak. While the first one is directed by world renowned filmmaker Majid Majidi, the latter is being produced by the one and only Karan Johar.
Janhvi Kapoor
The daughter of one of the most celebrated actresses of Indian cinema – Sridevi and producer Boney Kapoor, Janhvi Kapoor is already a star on social media. Her airport looks, red carpet appearances and every other photo on the internet go viral in to time. Good looks, good looks and good looks – she has it all to make everyone’s hearts thud.
Sara Ali Khan
Having lost oodles of weight in the last couple of years, Saif Ali Khan and Amrita Singh‘s daughter Sara Ali Khan is now looking fitter than ever. From whatever we have seen of her so far, she seems like an absolute stunner. The gorgeous girl will be making her debut opposite Sushant Singh Rajput in Abhishek Kapoor‘s Kedarnath.
Aayush Sharma
Superstar Salman Khan is going to launch his brother-in-law Aayush Sharma next year with a romantic drama. To share the news, he had tweeted: “Feeling very happy to announce @SKFilmsOfficial productions ka 5th venture #Loveratri introducing @aaysharma directed by Abhiraj Minawala. More details soon.” The movie is going to be shot in Gujarat and Sharma is currently exploring the state and its culture in person for his prep.
Ankita Lokhande
While Sushant Singh Rajput will romance Sara Ali Khan in Kedarnath, his ex-girlfriend Ankita Lokhande will be seen playing a pivotal role in Manikarnika: The Queen of Jhansi. The movie also stars Kangana Ranaut and Sonu Sood. Considering Ankita happens to be a very popular face on television, many are eagerly awaiting her big Bollywood debut.
Ahan Shetty
Suniel Shetty‘s son Ahan Shetty will be seen making his debut in an action-packed entertainer by Sajid Nadiadwala.
Karan Deol
Pal Pal Dil Ke Paas is a romantic drama that will mark the debut of Sunny Deol‘s son, Karan Deol. The entire Deol family is super thrilled about it and many of them had taken to Twitter to share there excitement. After all, it’s being directed by Sunny Deol himself. The movie has been extensively shot in Manali.
Banita Sandhu
After doing a few ads, the very sexy Banita Sandhu managed to bag ace director Shoojit Sircar‘s October. Considering the filmmaker has given us two stars like Ayushmann Khurrana and Yami Gautam, we’ve a good feeling about this too. Plus, she’s breathtakingly beautiful, just look at her! She will be seen opposite Varun Dhawan in the movie.
Karan Wahi
Indian television’s favourite chocolate boy –Karan Wahi will be seen in the fourth installment of the Hate Story series. The same franchise had introduced other telly town stars like Surveen Chawla, Jay Bhanushali and Karan Singh Grover to Bollywood. Wahi will be seen sharing screen space with Vishal Pandya and Urvashi Rautela.
