The wins and losses at awards shows are definitely what you generally come to see, but if we’re being honest, we think it’s the performances that make you stay till the very end. And this year’s American Music Awards 2017 performances are looking mighty promising to say the least.
The musicians set to take the stage include Shawn Mendes, Nick Jonas, Christina Aguilera, Kelly Clarkson, Demi Lovato, Pink, Hailee Steinfeld, Diana Ross, Selena Gomez (who is going to perform for the first time since her kidney transplant) and the lady herself, Lady Gaga.
Now, Lady Gaga is born to stand out, that’s old news. But, she apparently finds new ways to do it every time. As per the awards show’s official Twitter account, she will sing The Cure, her latest single and tribute to her late friend Sonja Durjam live from the Washington, D.C. stop of her Joanne World Tour, marking the first major televised presentation of the hit song.
Last year at the AMA’s, she performed Million Reasons and then came out with her fifth album, Joanne, so maybe, just maybe, we can expect another one soon?
Rumour has it that she’s going to do a new song too, but you’re going to have to tune into VH1 bright and early Monday morning at 7:30 am for the exclusive telecast. The repeat is scheduled for 9 pm.
