Deepika Padukone is really, really angry right now. Fed up of the mindless protests and the horrifying attacks on her movie Padmavati, the superstar has taken to Twitter to call out unnamed miscreants who have destroyed an artist’s labour of love. The artist, Karan, made a stunning rangoli of Deepika Padukone in Padmavati which made DP really happy. But soon enough, the artwork was completely destroyed by self proclaimed ‘protectors of Indian culture’, which horrified Deepika enough for her to tag Information and Broadcasting Minister Smriti Irani.
Here are her tweets –
absolutely heart breaking to see the recent attack on artist Karan and his artwork!disgusting and appalling to say the least! pic.twitter.com/Ot2Aki0MiA

This is shameful. One of the most awaited movies of the year, made by one of the finest directors this country has, headlined by the biggest stars, has no protection. Sanjay Leela Bhansali has been attacked, the sets of the movie have been destroyed, and yet he has completed the film. The trailer has given us all goosebumps, but these people have made a mockery out of our freedom of speech. We hope action is taken soon.
