Apart from happiness of course, festive season also brings along a fresh new season of Bigg Boss. With season 11 looming around the corner, we got down to reflecting on the past season and the aspects for which we would definitely not want an “encore”.
Admit it, there were a few apples which spoiled the entire basket.
So, here we go!
1. Priyanka Jagga
She was the source of too many fights, noise & distress in the house. And these weren’t the ones that attracted TRPs or kept the viewers hooked. She was just… annoying. I never thought I will ever say these words, but she easily put Dolly Bindra to shame, and all these years I thought no one will ever beat her.
All that screaming & shrill voice, very very unpleasant!
Besides, she teamed up with Om Swami. Need we say anything else?
2. Om Swami
Just. No.
Never again, we don’t need him or anyone even remotely similar to him ever again. Misogynistic, sexist, dogmatic, moron – where do I even start?!
Never come back. Shoo!
3. Throwing urine & other gross things.
When Priyanka urinated on national television to win a task, I was surprisingly okay with that. Priya Malik did it too, in Season 9. If that’s what it takes to win a task, why not! But Om Swami crossed a line when he collected his pee in a bowl & threw it on Bani J & Rohan Mehra.
Not cool at all!
4. Non-existent wild card entries
Jason Shah, Elena Kazan, Sahil Anand – Do any of these wild card names ring a bell? No. Blame them for not doing anything despite the golden chance given to them. Think of Rishabh Sinha, Priya Malik, Nora Fatehi, Ali Quli Mirza, Ajaz Khan – entering the house later than others never deterred them from doing their job well. No wonder they are vividly remembered for their stint in the house.
Better wild cards this year, Bigg Boss, please!
5. Cat fights
Yeah I know, cat fights or any fights for that matter form the essence of the show. But must we binge on popcorn and LOL when two women are pulling each others hair? A cold war is much better than that. Or even better, a fair competition.
Not two beautiful women manhandling each other. #GirlLove 1, Cat fights 0
6. Couch potatoes
No offence, but viewers like to see some action if you are locked in a house with strangers & cameras. No offence to your playing strategy either, but it didn’t really succeed, right?!
No more cushions… oops, I mean Rahul Dev in the house.
7. And finally…
The season isn’t complete till at least one contestant pleads in front of the camera saying they want to go home. Records show that these pleas often take place in the first week itself. As per my observation, these contestants usually last longer than others.
If this is a strategy, please continue. If it isn’t, please spare me! Read your contract, watch previous seasons, prepare yourself mentally and then enter the house. Thanks!
Bigg Boss 11 air this Sunday, October 1, 2017. As much as we are looking forward to it, we hope the above mentioned points do not make a comeback.
