The fashion month continues as its next instalment took place in London. We thought that glam factor was up a notch at the London Fashion Week. Also, we welcomed the amount of shine and lustre the LFW introduced to the season. Here are the collections you must-watch from the runways of London:
1. Ralph & Russo
Ralph & Russo’s showcase had a something for every occasion, be it red carpet glamour or street style fashion. It was their debut in ready-to-wear but the glory of their couture work was very well evident on the runway.
2. J.W. Anderson
The effortlessness of the summer textiles was well presented at J. W. Anderson’s showcase. Linen, cotton, knits, leather and other such natural fabrics took shape of easy, everyday dressing.
3. Burberry
If you have to witness the trickle up theory in fashion, Burberry’s show offered us a glimpse. Plaid baseball caps, signature overcoats, and major bling through statement earrings made it a stunning lineup.
4. Mary Katrantzou
Puffiness, a huge colour spectrum, tropical floral prints and rainwear fabric, these made up Mary Katrantzou‘s collection. The collection took into consideration the unpredictable weather of London and gave us best of both worlds, for sunny days and rainy days!
5. Temperley London
Alice Temperley had the French Riviera on her mind while designing the collection and surely took us there through the presentation. True to for her feminie style, she mixed prints and fabrics to create ensembles perfect for the luxe life of riviera.
6. Topshop Unique
Topshop Unique took the street style to the 90’s clubbing scenes. The result was a the clash of denim with fur, jazzy overcoats and statement accessories to light up the after hours.
7. Peter Pilotto
Peter Pilotto understood the need for ease during the summers and presented an effortless collection. Pretty pastels, jungle prints, satin and some japanese influence all combined to make this flirty yet cool lineup.
8. Emporio Armani
The pastel presentation at Emporio armani upgraded the casualwear with some tailored silhouettes. We loved the involvement of androgyny with feminine sensibility.
9. Versus Versace
Radical cool details played up Versus Versace show, we mean head-to-toe perfect here. The quirky prints suited the street style vibes of the collection. This was a fashion forward move by Versus Versace for the new generation.
10. Roksanda
Roksanda’s collection echoed summer with easy-breezy silhouettes, prints and trims taking centre stage. We didn’t miss the quirky clutches that the model carried that juxtoposed well with the easy outfits.
11. Erdem
Erdem welcomes us to the royal’s club but in a very differnt way by presenting this luxe collection. Deconstruction feminine details like a bow and adding it to the flirty ensembles made the lineup an interesting take on evening dressing.
12. Christopher Kane
Christopher Kane’s show presented a raw kind of femininity that many of us tend to avoid. If showed the chaos to achieve the prim and proper look. It had a hint of of real sexiness and a whole lotta new silhouettes to welcome.
13. Ashish
What happens when celestial elements meet casual wear? Major shining moment was witnessed at Ashish’s presentation. Yes, even disco balls were involved. The clothes were easy to move in but the fabrics won the game with lustre!
14. Tommy Hilfiger
It was all street business as Tommy Hilfiger dominated the runway of London. With see now, buy now strategy in place, #TOMMYNOW showcased its Fall/ Winter collection with some serious rock-n-roll vibes! It was definitely a stellar finale to LFW.
