All The Big (Little) Winners From The Emmy Awards 2017

Meg DSouza

One of Hollywood’s biggest nights, The Emmy Awards 2017 took place on Sunday night (Monday morning for all of us on the other side of the world). Hosted by late night talk show host, Stephen Colbert, the show was classy, entertaining and emotional with some of the usual suspects taking home the elegant statuette. I can bet that I’m not the only who thinks that 2017 has been a pretty great year for American television. We’ve seen some superb story writing and acting in serious dramas, like The Crown, Big Little Lies, and The Handmaid’s Tale, but it’s really the comedy shows that stood and continue to stand at a whole other level, IMO.

Here’s a look at all the winners of the night, tell us if you agree or not:

I got my fill of entertainment with some top-class acting chops and story writing all through this year, so for me, it really was one big toss up from the start. Clearly, nothing or no one can shake off the amazing Julia Luis Dreyfus, as she made history by winning her 6th consecutive Emmy for her lead role in the political comedy, Veep. She now holds the record for the most Emmys won by a single performer for one role. Also, looking at this list of winners, there’s no way that anyone can critique the silver screen for its lack of cultural and ethnic diversity like they did for the Oscars earlier this year, don’t you think?

I was rather pleased with the outcome. Here’s to these performers and their FABULOUS fashion and beauty choices which you can read about here and here! *cheers*
