The last day of New York Fashion Week was all about colours, and the iridescent options on the ramp definitely set a good note for the upcoming season. We saw some reformed summer silhouettes with psychedelic prints, which were balanced by the bold hues. Here are the collections that wrapped up NYFW with a bang:
1. Michael Kors
What does a city girl pack for her beach-side vacation? This is exactly what Michael Kors presented last night. From tie-dye sweat-shirts to sequined sarongs, he didn’t leave any stone unturned.
2. Delpozo
Delpozo took the basic summer silhouettes and tweaked them to present in a very new way. Structured shapes blended well with fluid lines, and contrast of solid did justice to the bold prints.
3. Chocheng
Chocheng showcase brought the prim and proper vibes of the retro era back to the runways of the 21st century. Tailored jackets with pretty dresses influenced by the silhouettes of the ’50s were presented in a modern way.
4. Zang Toi
Zang Toi‘s selection was fit for a modern woman who loves to dress up on every occasion. We love the abstract motifs that played on the feminine silhouettes.
5. Marchesa
Know for their evening gowns, Marchesa had a glamorous lineup. Georgina Chapman and Keren Craig didn’t shy away from the OTT ruffles, and the mood was of modern romanticism that was visually evident with the cherry blossoms on the dresses.
6. Marc Jacobs
Marc Jacobs collection was all about oversized silhouettes, bold hues and psychedelic prints. We also witnessed some interesting drapes and head turbans on the ramp.
7. Jia Liu
Jia Liu had kids walking with models on the ramp and an explosion of emojis as print. The casual cool collection spoke very well to the new generation and was perfect for a street style look.
