Set to Tchaikovsky‘s haunting symphonic score and the choreography by Marius Petipa and Lev Ivanov, the ballet tells the timeless story of good versus evil and revolves around the universal theme that love conquers all. It’s about Princess Odette and her eternal quest to find true love in order to break a tragic spell cast on to her at a young age. This production is sure to appeal to anyone with even the slightest interest in the arts, no matter what age or gender.
We’ve had the chance of seeing versions and fusion/modern interpretations of this ballet – the most memorable one being the 2010 Oscar winning Natalie Portman thriller, Black Swan – but this is the first time we’re getting a chance to see this LIVE in all it’s original glory. World renowned ballet director Anatoliy Kazatskiy and ballerina Kozachenko Kateryna will lead a cast of forty dancers from the Russian Royal Ballet at this exquisitely produced stage show which will run from the 22nd to the 24th of September in Delhi at Siri Fort Auditorium.
