“He Was My Mentor Turned Tormentor” – Kangana Ranaut On Her Relationship With Aditya Pancholi

Kangana Ranaut is undoubtedly one the feistiest and gutsiest women out there. She has single handedly taken on half of Bollywood and doesn’t shy away from speaking her mind when she feels she has been wronged. Be it her comments on nepotism or openly talking about her affair with Hrithik Roshan, Kangana doesn’t mince her words. And last night, she brought to the fore her unfiltered self during her live chat with another equally feisty and ballsy woman – Barkha Dutt.

Barkha questioned her about a lot of things including her torrid relationship with Aditya Pancholi. Kangana had once in a press conference spoken about how she was physically abused by an ex boyfriend.

It was a very difficult and harsh time. I was physically abused. I don’t have to go to details. I felt trapped. You feel people might help you but there are no free lunches. But when you are young, you fall for it. This man, who was my father’s age hit me hard on my head when I was 17. I started bleeding. I took out my sandal and hit him hard and he started to bleed too. I lodged an FIR against the man.

She hadn’t revealed that the man was Aditya Pancholi until yesterday. So, when Barkha brought that up, Kangana spoke about how she went to his wife Zarina Wahab for help.

I’m a year younger than his daughter. I was a minor. For me, this was all very new – the world that I had come into. I remember going to his wife and meeting her, and I’m like ‘Please save me! I’m younger than your daughter. I’m a minor and I can’t tell my parents.’

His wife then reportedly told her,

For me the greatest relief is that he doesn’t come home anymore.

Kangana then added,

So then, I was like who is going to help me now? If I go to the cops, my parents are going to take me back and I didn’t know which is worse, because then there’s no way out.

She eventually got the police’s help and realised that the right thing to do is to take the help of the authority. And now, as we all know, it’s history, but we’re sure this gave a lot of women out there the courage to come out and get the help they need. More power to you, Kangana!

You can watch the whole conversation here, and trust me, you’re going to want to watch this one.
