Arjun Kapoor was reportedly in talks with A Gentleman director duo, Raj Nidimoru and Krishna DK for their next film, Farzi, starring Kriti Sanon. However, according to latest reports, Arjun has walked out of the film and recommended his cousin Harshvardhan Kapoor‘s name for the male lead.
Arjun is currently working on Dibakar Bannerjee‘s Sandeep Aur Pinky Faraar, opposite Parineeti Chopra. He cited date issues as the reason for not doing Farzi. Meanwhile, Harsh is also caught up with a biopic on Abhinav Bindra, so he has not been confirmed either.
DNA quoted a source saying that:
The Farzi project in case hadn’t gone beyond an offer, and due to factors that didn’t align, Arjun decided not to take it up. The film hadn’t reached the monetary discussion stage either. Arjun is keen to do a rom-com like Namastey Canada, which he starts next year. He is a producer’s son, and doesn’t like to keep anybody hanging. Arjun immediately recommended his cousin, Harsh baba as he calls him. The makers went to Harsh thereafter. The quirky subject is right up Harsh’s alley.
So Arjun stepped aside for his younger brother, Harsh. That’s some #bromance level!
