The IIFA took place in New York over the last weekend and it was as glamorous & entertaining as ever. The nepotism row that began at the awards’ ceremony has not subsided yet & recently Kangana Ranaut replied to Saif Ali Khan‘s open letter with one of her own.
The prestigious awards are in a trouble of sorts again as CBFC chief Pahlaj Nihalani reportedly sent a 5-page legal notice to them and the organisers, Wizcraft International. Mr. Nihalani, in his notice, has reportedly asked for a public apology for the defamatory remarks passed against him by the hosts – Riteish Deshmukh and Maniesh Paul.
However, the organisers have allegedly termed the whole episode as a misunderstanding, which will be cleared once Mr. Nihalani watches the show himself. Sabbas Joseph, the director of Wizcraft International told Mid–Day:
There is no statement or event in the show that warrants any notice. Pahlajji will get a better understanding of the show once he sees it. We have always respected Pahlajji, who has originally been on the IIFA advisory board, and has always been of tremendous help. I am sure it is a misunderstanding that will be corrected once Pahlajji sees the show on television again.
Well, we hope that as well!
